"The Top Hat interactive learning platform, as the University of Oklahoma's centrally supported student response system, is available for free to students, faculty, and staff.
This presentation will demonstrate how instructors can take advantage of Top Hat's many features to streamline creating and administering accessible and engaging course content, from in-class questions and activities to homework assignments and exams to textbooks.
Features discussed will include: using headers to support navigation; adding alternative text and long descriptions to images; embedding multimedia; inserting mathematical equations; creating and presenting a variety of question types; enabling anonymous responses to questions; flexibly scheduling assessments for individuals and groups of students; and providing students with Top Hat's AI study assistant. Some potential difficulties in using the platform and possible solutions also will be addressed.
