On September 20, 2022, the Department hosted our first panel discussion!
This semester's HR Chat series strives to survey experts in various fields to unpack the intricate elements of difficult conversations and share different perspectives.
We were joined by three experts in their respective fields:
Carla D. Pratt is a member of the American Bar Association and a professor of law at the University of Oklahoma. She currently serves as the inaugural Ada Lois Sipuel Fisher Chair in Civil Rights, Race, and Justice in Law.
Dr. Allie Regens is a practicing OBGYN and participant in Legislative Priorities with ACOG (American College of OBGYNs). She is currently an OBGYN Faculty at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine.
Tamya Cox-Touré is an expert on abortion policy in Oklahoma and a former lobbyist of Planned Parenthood. She is the current Executive Director of the ACLU of Oklahoma.
Former Norman Mayor, Breea Clark, moderated the panel and our distinguished panelists answered numerous questions about Oklahoma public policy. They provided clarity on the impacts of the Dobbs v. Jackson ruling and the recent passing of state bills. Each expert also gave their input on the trajectory of this issue as it affects Oklahomans.
